I love to create abstract art because it allows the viewer to get lost in the piece. Working very organically, I usually start with an object or a general idea and then I let the medium flow on its own, often working in layers until if feels right. Recycled and found objects play a major role in my work. My passion comes from using everyday things and seeing how they can be transformed in different ways to create a work of art. I try not to dictate the direction of the piece because I want my work to produce a reaction that is completely subjective. I keep the titles to one word to limit the overall interpretation. I think Louise Bourgeois said it best when describing her work: "If you don't have any feelings about this I cannot explain it to you. If this doesn't touch you, I have failed." My work is quite simply an outlet, and hopefully a tool to create a reaction in those that see it.
